Did you know that you can still eat late at night and lose weight? Find out why by reading the caption
How many times have you heard that famous sentence: "You shouldn't be eating late, you'll gain weight". Perhaps they've read it in some random article once, or someone else who did it told them, but they still seem to believe it without any science to back this claim up.
No, you WON'T gain any weight if you eat at night IF you've kept your calories in check throughout the day. In other words, if you didn't eat more calories than you were supposed to throughout the day, you won't gain any weight. It doesn't matter if your last meal was at 4pm, 6pm or 11pm, if it was the same meal.
The only reason why people who eat late do gain weight is because they often eat high calorie food and snacks like chips, and when they do, they usually go over their calories for the day. For instance, if you want to maintain weight and your maintainance calories are 2000, and you've already eaten 3 meals (eg. 700+700+600 calories), eating another meal will mean eating extra 300-600 or more calories, and you'll go into surplus.
That's it! If you know someone who needs to hear this tag him or her below! :)
